Our Service Offerings . . .
Diabetic Foot Care
Prevention, Prevention, Prevention. Our goal is to keep our diabetic patients healthy and in tune with their feet. We work closely with your medical team to ensure all is being done to prevent foot problems.
Proper nutrition, exercise, and tight control of your blood sugar are all important to overall health and especially your feet health.
We conduct thorough examinations including lower extremity circulation and nervous system. We also evaluate skin and nail conditions, as well as underlying foot structure. Tests are ordered as needed for each particular person.
Patient education about their diabetes and its effects on their feet is stressed in our practice. Treatment options are always reviewed and can range from proper shoes and socks to management of serious foot infections and ulcerations. We work closely with endocrinologists, vascular surgeons and infectious disease doctors in both the office and hospital to manage more serious conditions.
Please note: Doctors of Podiatric medicine are specialized and uniquely trained in all aspects of diagnosing and treating foot conditions. Foot mechanics and the human gait is complex and requires thorough examination to render accurate diagnosis and treatment of your painful foot conditions.
